Review: BlackBerry Curve 9360

The Curve 9360 might struggle a bit in a market where everyone craves for a touch screen. Or RIM might have put in enough to keep in interesting and competitive?

Hardware

The BlackBerry 9360 brings with it a host of improvements including a more crisp screen with a 480×360 resolution and a pixel density of 246ppi. but keeping the same sie of 2.4 inches. It is also quite usable under the sun being an LCD screen.

You still need to use the track pad to interact with the system since it is still not equipped with a touch screen. The screen though has a good size of real estate to handle all the menus and the apps but web browsing is another story. Text messages also appear a bit small for comfortable reading.

Aside from the display improvements, the Curve 9360 now has an 800 MHz CPU working with a RAM of 512 MB. It also has an internal storage of 512 MB but comes standard with a microSD that gives user an extra 1GB. Unlike previous editions, this phone comes with NFC support plus WiFi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, and quadband access. Do not forget the 5MP camera on the back.

In terms of looks, there is nothing flashy about this phone. It looks good but it has a ton of glossy plastics and does not look very original.

Software

The Curve 9360 is still using the BlackBerry 7 operating system. It is quite outdated if we will be asked like a boxer well beyond its prime. Multitasking is out of the equation with the current OS and RIM has not done much but facelifts of the former versions.

Conclusion

The BlackBerry Curve 9360 will be loved by the loyal fans of the brand. RIM should come up with new ideas if they want to keep the brand alive in this very demanding times.

However, the Toshiba TG02 doesn’t support 3G. According to rumors, the TG02 is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and a 4.1-inch LCD display.

So really, back in March, the newest, latest and greatest thing was mentioned and now it is finally here! The Samsung i637 was just released by AT&T and it is definitely one of the coolest phones in the world. Not only is it a 3G smartphone, but it is also equipped with Windows Mobile 6.1 as an operating systems, it has a GPS and an aGPS, which is an AT&T navigator.

The camera on this phone is incredible, it is 3.2 megapixel and it has 256MB of RAM, a mircroSD card that can hold up to 16GB of ram and it can connect to WiFi anywhere! So honestly guys, if you are looking for the ultimate phone in the world, this phone is it!
